There will be plenty basketball for all tastes in the upcoming ESBA Championship in Poreč, as a 3×3 basketball tournament will be included in the program of the week-long event which take place in Croatia in June 2016.
The tournament, called Poreč ’16 3×3 Open, will be open to full-time participants of the championship as well as those players, who could not form a full team for the standard competition.
In the preliminary plans, there will be three main categories, divided into different age sub-categories:
- Women: 35+, 45+ and 55+
- Men: 40+, 50+ and 60+
- Mix: 40+ and 50+ (2 ladies and 2 men per team, 2 men, 1 lady in the court)
* at least 4 teams have to apply in each age category
This will not be the first time that a 3×3 tournament is featured by ESBA, as it was one of the landmark events of the ESBA Promo Championship in Liepaja back in 2014.
