Competition format

Women’s categories:

  • Three teams in W40 category and the only team in W45 category will compete together in a single group, playing in a round robin format. The results of games between different age categories will count towards the final standings of W40. In the W40 category the 1st and 2nd placed teams will play in the final. The third-placed W40 team after the round robin stage will play against the only team in W45 category.
  • Four teams in W50 category and the only team in W55 category will compete together in a single group, playing in a round robin format. The results of games between different age categories will count towards the final standings of W50. In the W50 category, 3rd and 4th placed teams after the round robin stage will play for 3rd place, while the 1st and 2nd placed teams will play in the final.

Men’s categories:

  • Seven teams in M40 category will be divided into two groups of four (Group A) and three (Group B) teams. After the round robin stage, teams placed first and second in each group will advance to the elimination round which will feature semifinals and finals. Meanwhile, the three remaining teams will play in a round robin format for 5-7th places.
  • Four teams in M45 category will play in a round robin format. After the group stage, 3rd and 4th placed teams will play for 3rd place, while the 1st and 2nd placed teams will play in the final.
  • Five teams in M50 category will play in a round robin format. After the group stage, 3rd and 4th placed teams will play for 3rd place, while the 1st and 2nd placed teams will play in the final.
  • leven teams in the M55 category will be divided into two groups of four (Groups A and Group B) and one group of three (Group C) teams. After the round robin stage, the winners of each of the three groups and the best second-placed team from the four-team groups (Group A or Group B) will advance to the semifinals (A1 vs B1; C1 vs A2/B2) and proceed to the medal round. For the 5-8th places, the games will be held in the following pairs: A2/B2 vs B3; A3 vs C2. The two winners and two losers of these pairs will play each other to determine the final standings. For the 9-11th places, the third-placed team from Group C and both fourth-placed teams will play in a round robin format.
    * In defining the best second-placed team in Groups A and B, the following parameters will be used: 1) points; 2) goal average; 3) number of goals scored.
  • Five teams in M60 category will play in a round robin format. 1st and 2nd placed teams after the round robin stage will play in the final.
  • Five teams in M65 category will play in a round robin format, after which the final standings will be decided.
  • There will be two teams in M70 category and one team in M75 category. Teams will play each other twice for a total of four games, after which the final standings will be decided.
