CSKA Veterans win M65 title for third year in a row

For the third year in a row in an ESBA Championship, CSKA Veterans lifted the M65 trophy after sweeping the field in Porec once again. The Russian side won all four games, defeating Big Game from Ukraine 50-29 on the final day of action to move to 4-0 in the standings and claim gold.

Igor Sakharnov was the leading scorer for CSKA Veterans with 15 points and eight assists in the last game of the tournament, while Evgeny Abramov finished the game with 10 points and five rebounds.

The team’s leading scorer Igor Sakharnov was named the MVP of the M65 age category.

Vilniaus Statybos Senjorai, with a 3-1 record, finished as the runners-up in the age group, having only lost to CSKA Veterans. On the final day of action, the Lithuanian side defeated Lions of Galichina 39-26.

The third place medals were awarded to Big Game, who lost to both to CSKA Veterans and Vilniaus Statybos Senjorai.
