Russian participants dominate three-point contest

The first awards of the ESBA Championship in Belek were handed out on Monday, as Ebru Zaynep Saylan, Nedezda Bukharova, Sergey Savin, Alexander Kharchenkov and Igor Sakharnov became the winners of the five different categories of the three-point contest.

Ebru Zaynep Saylen from Begrama collected 9 points in the W35+ category, beating out Natalia Alekseeva and Liliya Yatkovska, who collected a point less, for the top spot.

In the W50+ category, Nadezda Bukharova from Maximum snatched the winner’s title with 13 points, topping Regina Veliuliene and Larisa Finogentova, who finished in second and third place respectively.

Serhii Savin from Musson conquered the M40+ crown with a tournament-best 16 points. Sergey Semenov was second, while Volodymyr Plotka captured third place.

Mercury’s sharpshooter Alexander Kharchenkov was the only player in double figures in the M55+ group with 10 points. Mustafa Bicakci and Algirdas Linge finished with an equal amount of points – 8.

In the oldest age category, Igor Sahkarnov from CSKA collected 13 points and finished ahead of Albinas Raudonis and Viktor Karzov, who both had 8 points.
