Small Planet 106-50 Baltic Virtuozo

Lithuanian team Small Planet improved to a 4-0 record in the tournament, crushing Baltic Virtuozo 106-50. Virtuozo are now 1-3 and share third place in M45 category with Victoria Residences.

Virginijus Sirvydis had 22 points and six rebounds for the winners, with Rolandas and Kestutis Skaisgirys adding 15 points each.

Andris Liepins had a team-high 20 points, while Mait Kabin scored 14 for Baltic Virtuozo.

Musson 98-66 Victoria Residences

Thursday marked another victory for Musson, who are now 4-0, following their 98-66 hammering of Victoria Residences. The Russian side was trailing after the first quarter, but stormed from behind to register an emphatic win.

Sergiy Tsymbal had a game-high 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Musson. Volodymyr Plotka made 7-of-14 from beyond the arc for a total of 23 points, while Serhii Savin finished the game with 17 points to his name.

Evtim Banev played all 40 minutes for Victoria Residences, scoring a team-high 22 points. Delcho Melev finished with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Project 44 90-52 Carpathian Bears

Project 44 from Moscow added their second victory of the tournament after downing Carpathian Bears 90-52. The Ukrainian side is now 0-4 in the standings.

Alexander Kuznetsov finished the game with an impressive 32 points and eight rebounds, Andrei Kdochnikov scored 16 points, while Oleg Chikish added 11.

For Carpathian Bears, Oleksandr Zakrevskyi had a team-high 27 points, but no other player managed to reach double figures in scoring.

Bitsa Team 81-33 Perlas

Bitsa Team (3-0) kept their record clean with an impressive 81-33 win against Lithuania side Perlas, who dropped to a 2-1 record after the loss.

Alexander Solnyshkin who grabbed eight boards and Mikhail Borisov had 16 points apiece for Bitsa, while Andrei Trushkin added 14 points and seven rebounds

Perlas played without their leader Arvydas Venclovas. Saulius Kriksciunas stepped up with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Krivbass Tonus Veteran UA 66-48 Interwood-Project 44

Krivbass Tonus Veteran UA scored their first win of the tournament, defeating Interwood-Project 44 66-48 to move into the fourth spot in the standings.

Andriy Berezhynskyy led the Ukrainians, who broke away in the second half, with 25 points and six rebounds. Pavlo Storozhenko collected 17 points, with Sergii Kovtun adding 12.

Ivan Zhukov and Vladirimir Lebedev had 14 points apiece for Interwood-Project 44. Sergei Semenov added 13.

M55

Team Hamburg 34-84 TOP Trust

TOP Trust improved to a 2-1 record in the standings after steamrolling Team Hamburg 84-34. For the Germans, it was the fourth loss in a row.

Anrus Toom led the winners with 21 points and six rebounds, Emill Kuldkepp was close to a double-double, finishing the game with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Jaak Lill added 15.

For Hamburg, Bertram Wagner was the leading scorer with nine points. Detlef Hopp scored eight.

Izmir Veterans 49-79 Salilita

Salilita improved to a 3-0 record and remained the only undefeated team in the M55+ age category, with a 79-49 victory against Izmir Veterans, who dropped to a 1-2 mark.

Rolandas Penikas paced the Lithuanian side once again with 24 points and seven rebounds, Vytenis Urba collected 21 points and seven boards, while Apolinaras Abromavicius added nine points.

For Izmir, Mustafa Bicakci had 18 points, while Huseyin Ustunes collected 11 points and seven rebounds.

M60

Vilniaus Statyba 86-51 Galychyna

Statyba Vilnius guaranteed themselves the top spot in Group B with an easy 86-51 victory against Galychyna, moving to a 2-0 record, while the Ukrainians suffered their second defeat in as many games.

Vitoldas Masalskis was the engine that paced Statyba throughout the game, collecting 24 points and six assists on incredible 11-of-13 shooting. Viktoras Ruzele had 15 points and six boards, while Edmundas Narmontas added 14 points, five rebounds and five blocks.

For Galychyna, Bogdan Makar and Vitaliy Detiuk shared a team-high 20 points, with the latter also grabbing nine rebounds.

SLO 50+ 44-64 Mercury

Mercury finished first in Group A after defeating Slovenia 64-44 in the game for the top spot. Timur Yunusov was the top scorer for the winners with 13 points, Andrei Snytsin scored 12 points and grabbed 12 boards, while Alexander Kharchenkov finished the game with 11.

Anton Gantar had the most points for Slovenia with 12. Joze Fiser scored 10.

Latvia 37-51 CSKA Veterans

CSKA Veterans continued their undefeated march in the ESBA Championship with a 51-37 victory against Latvia. Evgeny Abramov had a team-high 11 points for the Russians to go along seven rebounds, as Igor Sakharnov added 10.

Alzhan Zharmukhamedov was close to a double-double with eight points and 11 rebounds.

Viktors Kaktins led the game in scoring 13 points, as Juris Dambitis added 10.

M70

Nevsky Veterans 20-19 Sameko

Viktor Karzov collected 12 points to lead Nevsky Veterans to an important win against Sameko, defeating the Estonian side 20-19. The Russians, who improved to a 2-1 record, had won their first meeting between the sides as well.

Gennady Mikhaylov scored 7 points for Nevsky, while Mikhail Kiselev was the only other Russian player to score a point, finishing the game with one point.

Endel Tuur was 3-of-3 from the field for seven points for Sameko, as Peeter Kokk added six.

Bergama Genclerbirligi SK 65-75 Carpathian Bears

Carpathian Bears improved to a 2-1 mark in the W35 category, following a 75-65 win against Bergama Genclerbirligi SK, who dropped to 1-2.

Inessa Khodova had 30 points and nine rebounds for the winners after hitting 8-of-11 shots from distance, Liliya Yatskovska added 21 points.

Banu Karadagli put up a phenomenal line of 37 points, nine rebounds and three assists and Alessandra Santos de Oliveira had a monster double-double of 15 points and 18 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to save the Turkish team from defeat.

W40/45/55

Spartak 51-26 Ladies Germany

Spartak registered another victory, defeating Ladies Germany 51-26 to finish the first round with a 3-0 record.

Tatiana Terebilova had 12 points and eight rebounds, Elena Sila also scored 12, with Valeria Sholokhova adding nine points and seven boards for the winners.

No German players reached double figures. Silke Westphalen collected a team-high seven points.

Estonia 42-59 Kamane LT-Augma

Kamane LT-Augma booked the first place in Group A with a convincing 59-42 victory against Estonia in the last game of the round robin.

Ina Revinskiene had a huge double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds for the victors, Marina Shaulene scored 18 points, while Regina Valiuliene added nine points.

For Estonia, the duo of Ulle Jarv and Katrin Aava had 11 points apiece.
