Competition format

Women’s categories:

  • Four teams in W30 category will play in a round-robin format. All four teams advance to the semifinals, where they will be paired up 1st seed vs. 4th seed and 2nd seed vs. 3rd seed, followed by the final game and a bronze-medal game.
  • Four teams in W45 category will play in a round-robin format. All four teams advance to the semifinals, where they will be paired up 1st seed vs. 4th seed and 2nd seed vs. 3rd seed, followed by the final game and a bronze-medal game.
  • Three teams in W50 category and the only team in W55 category will compete together in a single group, playing in a round robin format. The results of games between different age categories will count towards the final standings of W50. In the W50 category, the 1st and 2nd placed teams will play in the final. The third-placed W50 team after the round robin stage will play against the only team in W55 category.

 

Men’s categories:

  • There will be three teams in the M35/M40 group (one M35, two M40), with teams playing each other twice for a total of four games.
  • Eight teams in the M45/50 category will be divided into two groups of four (with four M50 teams in Group A and three M50 and one M45 team in Group B ) Only M50 teams advance past the round robin stage, as the two top M50 teams in each group head to the semifinals and finals. The third best M50 team in Group B goes on to play A3 and A4 for the 5-7th place, with the result of A3-A4 carried over from the group stage.
  • Eight teams in the M55 category will be divided into two groups of four (Group A and Group B). After the round robin stage, teams placed first and second in each group will advance to the elimination round which will feature semifinals and finals. For the 5-8th places, the games will be held in the following pairs: A3 vs B3 and A4 vs B4.
  • Four teams in M60 category will play in a round robin format. After the group stage, 3rd and 4th placed teams will play for 3rd place, while the 1st and 2nd placed teams will play in the final.
  • Four teams in M65 category will play in a round robin format. After the group stage, 3rd and 4th placed teams will play for 3rd place, while the 1st and 2nd placed teams will play in the final.
  • There will be three teams in the M70 group, with teams playing each other twice for a total of four games.
