With around 30 kilometres of coastline, the municipality of Albufeira has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is a magnificent Natural Heritage that has been defended and preserved in a balanced way. Albufeira is one of the municipalities in the country with the highest number of Blue Flags, an award that attests to the quality of the beaches in items such as cleanliness, accessibility, or quality of the water.

Albufeira’s breathtaking beaches offer something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax and soak up the sun, or you’re looking for adventure with water sports and activities, there’s something for everyone here.

From the East to the West, we will describe to you the beauty and diversity of the coast that make Albufeira a unique place.

In the east of the municipality, between the Quarteira River and the beautiful fishing village of Olhos de Água, a magnificent clay and sand cliff can be observed, whose beauty is accentuated in the Barranco das Belharucas, so sought after by the birds that nest there and which are at the origin of its name. It is an area of high cliffs, of red, brown, and white tones, populated at the top by a pine forest, which makes the area a privileged place for long and relaxing walks.

Next week we are heading to the beaches between Olhos de Água and Santa Eulália, so stay tuned!

The registration process continues and teams that want to take part in the 6th ESBA European Championship in Portugal can do so on the official website of the event.
