Competition format<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Women\u2019s categories<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • There will be two W40<\/strong> and two W45<\/strong> teams, with each side playing each other once, followed by a final between each age group.<\/li>\n
  • There will be two W50<\/strong> and two W55<\/strong> teams, with each side playing each other once, followed by a final between each age group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Men\u2019s categories:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    • Seven teams – five M40<\/strong> and two M45<\/strong> teams will be split up into two groups\u00a0A and B. Group A will consist of three teams from the age category 40+. Group B will consist of two teams from the age category 45+ and two from the 40+. Both groups will play in a round-robin system, while the game between the two teams 45+ will decide the winner of their respective age category. The two 45+ teams will also have the chance to fight for the medals in age category 40+, as the first two teams\u00a0 from each group advance to the semifinals. A1-B2 and B1-A2 play in the Semis, followed by the final and bronze medal game. A3 play B3 and B4 for 5th-7th place, with the B3-B4 result taken into consideration beforehand.<\/li>\n
    • Six M50<\/strong> teams will be split up into two groups, played in a round-robin format. The winner of each group advances directly to the Semi-Final, while the others participate in the Quarter-Finals (A2 vs. B3 and B2 vs A3). The winners of the A2-B3 pair will face B1 in the Semi-Final, while the B2-A3 pair will lock horns with A1. Both losing sides of the QF will play for 5-6th<\/sup> place. Winners of the Semi-Final advance to the final, losers play for bronze.<\/li>\n
    • Six M55<\/strong>\u00a0teams will be split up into two groups, played in a round-robin format. The winner of each group advances directly to the Semi-Final, while the others participate in the Quarter-Finals (A2 vs. B3 and B2 vs A3). The winners of the A2-B3 pair will face B1 in the Semi-Final, while the B2-A3 pair will lock horns with A1. Both losing sides of the QF will play for 5-6th<\/sup> place.
