Patvanka had their way with younger opponents once again, as the M45 club defeated another Lithuanian side Impeka, who qualify as M40, taking an 89-58 victory on Monday afternoon to join Projekt-44 atop the leaderboard with a 2-0 record.
Olympic bronze medalist Darius Lukminas was unstoppable with 34 points, while Irmunas Juskys came in with a helping hand of 26 points, five rebounds and a game-high four assists.
For Impeka, Aivaras Jokubaitis had a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Erikas Uscinas added 11 points.
In the other game of the day, Basketclub got their win count rolling in Liepaja with a comfortable 59-41 victory over Energetikas from Lithuania. Having got into a slump at the end of the first quarter, the Lithuanians managed to score only four points in 10 minutes as the side from Kaliningrad broke away and cruised to an easy win.
Andrey Kodochnikov scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Eduard Leshukov added 16 points for Basketclub. Arunas Knieta had a double-double of 12 points and 11 boards, as Sigitas Lenktaitis chipped in with 10 points for Energetikas.
