In the first day of the men\u2019s competition, the game of the round in the M50<\/span><\/strong> age category was between the Latvian team from Tukums<\/strong> and their opponents Wombat<\/strong>, with the Estonians taking out the game 55:<\/strong>48. Ott Poldsaar<\/a> <\/span>picked up 23 points for the victors, with Saulius Ragauskas<\/a><\/span> adding 15 for Tukums. The Estonians collected 10 more rebounds than the Latvians on their way to victory.<\/p>\n

In the other game, Patvanka<\/strong> outclassed Carpathian Bears<\/strong> 74<\/strong>:42. Arvydas Venclovas<\/span><\/a> hit 27 points with machine-like precision leading the Lithuanians to their victory against the Ukrainians who\u2019d only brought a 5-man roster. Left-hander Oleksandr Zakrevskyi<\/a><\/span> scored 22 for the latter.<\/p>\n

In a tight finish in the M70<\/strong> age group, Neptunieciai<\/strong> emerged victors 46:44 against Vilniaus Statybos Senjorai<\/strong>. The game was close all the way with Jonas Lukosius<\/a><\/span> and his 18 points carrying the team from Klaipeda to a great win, with 21 points from Romas Ramanauskas<\/a><\/span> not being enough to save the game for the masters from the capital.<\/p>\n

Tukums<\/strong> had all the answers in the final quarter in the second game, taking out the game against Zalgiris<\/strong> 46<\/strong>:37. Aivars Dzenitis<\/a><\/span> was in fine form for the Latvians with his 27 points being the difference between the teams. Rimantas Milaknis<\/a><\/span> added 24 points for the locals.<\/p>\n
