Each of the three competing countries, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania had a win on the opening day of the women\u2019s games at the 2016 Baltic Cup.<\/p>\n
The Estonian Tark ei torma<\/strong> team, led by Katrin Aava<\/strong> with 16 points and 10 rebounds and Reet Rausberg<\/strong> with 11 points, had a relatively easy victory against Augma Baltic<\/strong> 43:26 in the W50 age category. Ineta Leita<\/strong> with 9 points and Lorita Sausa<\/strong> with 8 points top scored for the losing Lithuanian team.<\/p>\n In the W40 age group, Estonia<\/strong> and Radviliskis<\/strong> finished the game on 38:38 at full time, but the former came out winners 47:40 after overtime in the closest women\u2019s game on the first day. Monica Vood<\/strong> picked up 14 points with 12 rebounds for the winners while Katrin Olmari<\/strong> had 14 points as well. Inga Jokubaitiene<\/strong> had 13 points and 13 rebounds in a sterling effort for the Lithuanians.<\/p>\n Ligita Kinkeviciene<\/strong> led the way to victory for SKK Versan<\/strong> with 29 points in a fine shooting display against Estonia<\/strong> in the W35 age category. Helina Esnar<\/strong> and Sheila Kodanik<\/strong> had 12 and 10 points respectively for the Estonians.<\/p>\n Kekava<\/strong> were too strong for Livani<\/strong>, finishing up 54:33, in the Latvian derby in the W35 age group. Dace Rimbeniece<\/strong> led the way with 17 points and 6 rebounds for Kekava<\/strong>, assisted by Dace Cinite<\/strong> with 10 and 10.
