Official announcement of the Belgrade’25 Open Organizing Committee

Official announcement of the Belgrade’25 Open Organizing Committee.

Dear members of the sports community, ESBA has always strived to organize events that meet the highest standards, and we make every effort to ensure that each championship is not only competitive but also professionally executed. We are thrilled with the significant interest shown in the Belgrade’25 Open Championship. The wonderful city of Belgrade, with its exceptional sports facilities and top-tier infrastructure, was ready to welcome teams from around the world. However, as of today, many teams have yet to make a final decision regarding their participation in the championship. Given this uncertainty and without guarantees that we can ensure a high-quality event across all age groups, it is with great sadness that we must announce the cancellation of the ESBA European Maxi Championship Belgrade’25 Open. External political circumstances also influenced the cancellation of the championship to some extent. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who showed interest in this championship. Special thanks go to the teams and referees who were ready to participate in this extraordinary event. We wish all of you success both on the basketball court and in your personal lives. We hope that in the future we will have the opportunity to meet again, both on and off the court, where our shared passion and dedication will unite us once more.

Respectfully,
Belgrade’25 Open Organizing Committee
